When the secrets of genetic code are combined with timeless design, a small work of art is created – a G-miniprint. It fits wherever a classic photograph goes, like your desk.

Category: G-miniprint

The G-miniprint is a photograph-sized image (10 x 15 cm), a smaller version of the popular Genoportrait. However, just like our Genoportrait it is the only personal or family portrait that displays genetic uniqueness, instead of traditional characters or faces. How is that possible? It's because we make each Genoportrait based on genetic information contained in DNA. Each DNA contains several highly variable places that are unique to each person. We can read these so-called genetic markers from DNA, and in your Genoportrait you will see them as colored lines.

 Product includes:

– a DNA extraction kit in an elegant packaging

– the G-miniprint

– a certificate

– a gift

The extraction of DNA

First of all you will receive from us, via post or a messenger, a sampling kit including brushes, test tubes and a manual with detailed instructions. The DNA based on which we make your Genoportrait is extracted by yourself in the comfort of your own home with a gentle brush. You only need to wipe the gentle brush against the inner side of your cheek (so-called buccal swab), put it in the test tube and send it back to us in the attached return envelope. Then we obtain the necessary DNA from the cells caught on the brush in our laboratories.

Picking out colors

G-miniprint SINGLE is monochrome and the complete color chart can be found HERE. But you do not have to rush with picking the color of the G-miniprint lines. If you are hesitating, pick the "Selection after ordering" option before adding the product to cart. Part of the elegant sampling kit is a printed color chart, from which you can pick the color of the lines later on. And if you happen to need more time to think it over, you can change your pick up until we send your G-miniprint for print.

Choosing material and background

The images are printed on the finest, low-maintenance materials:

    • acrylic (glossy acrylic plate) with a small stand
  • solid glass (freestanding glass block)

Backgrounds to choose from are black and white.

How to read the G-miniprint?

You do not have to understand genetics to read the G-miniprint. That is for along with it you will receive a certificate that will provide you with all the necessary information. We know that the G-miniprint sparks interest and curiosity of those around. Thanks to the certificate you will be ready to interpret the meaning of this personal image to all the admirers.

What happens after you order it:

We will send you a DNA sampling kit. Don't fret – this is a fine brush to wipe the inside of the cheek + sampling instructions. We will also send you a color sampler. In the comfort of your home you will then take a DNA sample, select your Genoportrait color combination and send both back to our lab by mail. We will analyze the sample and produce your Genoportrait within 4 weeks. However, we would like to point out that the delivery time may be prolonged depending on your specific demands, the quantity of graphic adjustments etc.

We deliver the G-miniprint safely packed in bubble wrap and a small box.

"The possibility to portray the DNA of a person on canvas is an excellent idea, it allows everyone to co-create, or more precisely complete the designed space with themselves. It is a portrait, which is completely true to life. It is wonderful how each person can make for such a harmonic image. Simultaneously, the possibility to capture partners or entire families in one picture seems amazing to me. It is uplifting how each and every one of us can be "painted" a grand art, create it with oneself".
